Mono now available for Unreal Engine

the .NET platform now works in Unreal via Mono

Miguel de Icaza from Xamarin, just announced the availability of Mono for Unreal Engine. This means that it is now possible to write gameplay code for the Unreal engine with C#.

It is possible to write game projects purely in C#, or extend existing C++ projects with C#, and it supports the .NET version 4.5.

This is especially interesting because Unity, another popular 3D game engine still seems to be using .NET 2 and has earned a bit of criticism for it.

Sounds interesting! There seems to be quite some competition between those engines right now.
Yay I've been putting off using unreal because I only just got the hang of C and learning C++ seemed like a big task. Now I can use C and dip into C++ for simple tasks :D
