CryEngine will add Linux support

Crytek announces Linux support for their 3D engine

CryEngine, CryTek's 3D engine will soon have native Linux support. There apparently aren't much details yet, for example if only the game engine itself will run on Linux or also even the editor as well, but this is interesting news already: More and more game developers are adding support for Linux, in the advent of Valve's Linux based SteamOS and SteamMachine.

Visitors of the game conference GDC next week will be able to have a look at these changes, as CryTek will show their game Warface and a mobile game named 'Collectables'.
