Phaser 1.0 released

the first version of the free HTML 5 game framework is available now

Phaser, a framework for creating 2D Desktop and Mobile HTML 5 games has just been released in version 1.0. Phaser is open source, free, and can be programmed in JavaScript and Typescript and its source, including plugins, examples and documentation is hosted on GitHub. Features of Phaser are:

- Supports drawing using Canvas or WebGL
- Includes a lightweight physics engine
- Does sprite animations using Sprite Sheets, Texture Packer and Flash JSON files, and Startling XML files
- Particle systems
- Abstracts access to the camera, input and sound output
- Does tilemaps
- Has a plugin system

Phaser is being developed by Photon Storm, who is probably known for the Flixel Flash framework. The games 'Wolfblood', 'Connect Me Factory' and 'Peter Rabbit: Hide and Seek' have already been created with this framework.
